[Agenda topic ]Conservation.-Har'ng <br /> Discussion: The request of Conservation for the 50 step stairway in Mashpee Shores has been postponed <br /> until after a vote on the project by all residents. The stairway has been measured at 12 feet from the <br /> outlet of the Mashpe River. Apparently,the request for a swim platform has been removed. National <br /> Heritage is involved to identify any species ofconcern that would involved. Mr. Marst rs felt the cost <br /> f in.surance in the area would be a Factor also. <br /> Conclusions: Barbara Nichols will check for further news on the project. <br /> [Agenda topic ] 'Town Land Purchase <br /> Discussion. Barbara read the letter she had turned into Joyce Mason voicing our3-0 vote in favor of the <br /> Town acquiring the 80 plus acres -of available land offered t -the Town by St. Vincent. ar .ra.wondered <br /> about voicing our vote at the Town Meeting, Mr. Baker said he had heard at a CPA Meeting, that the land <br /> purchase article on the warrant had " e hnical flaws"and wouldn't be voted on. -It was still undecided <br /> whether the land should be bought with grant money and conservation restrictions or for full price <br /> with <br /> the option to sell some lard up closer to the road l&.
