There is 9 in. of sand in the river in the area of the dam. Barbara <br /> emailed Perry Ellis about cleaning out the sand,but he referred her to Drew in Conservation, as he is now <br /> Herring Warden. Perry attended this meeting,and stated•that he did ask DPW to clean out the dans,-area. <br /> Perry also mentioned that AmeriCorps did clean out overhanging branches along the river several gears <br /> ago, and that Rick York was th 'Contact person for AmeriCorps. <br /> Algae in Lake: 'There vias no follow-up from Rick York n previous algae reports. Barbara noted that <br /> there was a green algae on crocks in 2-5 in. of water around the shore,present for 2-3 weeks. Ed Baker <br /> ,said he thought it was.a periphyton-that occurs.naturally. <br /> Porta-potties were in place at Atta uin Beach, the boat launch and also at Holly Reservation. <br /> Conclusions: The lake level-remains at 55,5-ft. He replied that he <br /> had been at the ramp and the Northeast Lunkers were banned for two years. Another early group was also <br /> banned. Perry stated he had seat a reminder to Dave at Public Access that participants should not leave <br /> earlier that 7 AM. When Mimi Joseph,asked Perry why there were no more sunfish and minnows in the <br /> lake, he stated it was because of the largemouth bass that were illegally introduced. He also said that <br /> -Mashpee Wakeby had been written up in Field and Stream marine as one of the hest bass fishing lakes. <br /> Fish of 8 lb. had been caught in a recent tourney. <br /> Conclusions: Two early bass tournament groups were banned for two years. <br />
