Read attended the meeting and brought information on Harbormaster aefivifies. Over the <br /> summer, 55 vessels were stopped and 7 bylaw citations Witten. During August,44.4 hours were spent <br /> patrolling Mashpee and Wakeby ponds. There was no coverage.Aug. 5thand on 2 days, coverage was just <br /> at the boat r .r . Mahpee had 7 assistant Harbormasters this summer. They are now required to write a <br /> daily.journal. Members felt there were frequent boating violations that were not seen by the Harbormaster <br /> coverage. Lt. Read said we should try to obtain the hull numbers off offender's boats and notify him o <br /> problems. He was willing to work on correcting offenders but needed to.know of problems in a timely <br /> fashion. He noted that Assist. Harbormasters now wore uniforms, (tan shirt, green pants and cap) .- Some <br /> Harbormaster boats had been relabeled as 1ashpe Police,and the rest would be completed by spring. <br /> Discussion was held on whether Power Squadron boating classed could be held in Town. Mr. Marsters <br /> asked if.fit. Read would ate an article for the Enterprise next spring listing boating rules and mentioning <br /> that ha.rhonnast rs would be enforcing boating rules on the waterways. Barbara asked ed i these boating <br /> rules could be included in the spring newsletter, and also used as a handout at the boat ramp on Mashpee <br /> Pond. Lt Read was amenable to both ideas. <br /> Conclusions: Harbormaster activities were discussed. Barbara noted that we had received 2 large rain stones in the past month leaving <br /> g g <br /> and 5 % inches of rain in her rain gauge. P. <br /> Conclusions: A large amount of rainfall has the lake above target level. <br />
