George suggested an article on asking the Town to
build a boat washing station at the state boat launch area,to help prevent the spread of invasive species,
and also encourage salt water boat owners to rinse salt water from their boats before launching in the lake.
Conclusions: Suggestions for newsletter articles are hung compiled.
JY
[Agenda 4 1 C 1 1oml It Dorgan at on{ :
.-- ^" z... Barbara Nichols will continue as Secretary.
Conclusions: New officers have been appointed.
[Agenda topic ] Salemus letter ..}_ *}
.r
Discussion: Peter Salenius emailed comments about ours ring newsletter, and discussion was held about
his concerns. If the boat launch}parking area is closed after 44 boats trailers have filled the parking lots,
how can 60 boats be allowed at a Sept. 16 bass tournament?Andrew said there is a lease agreement
between the Town and Mate which sags that when the lot is filled no more boats can be launched.
However this tourney is after.the season and parking monitors are no longer present after Labor Day. The
monitoring by lot attendants seems to be more lax this summer, and boat trailers have been noted parking
behind town Mall and Kenmark. Committee members wonder hove this can be prevented if these places
do not complain to the Police dept,
Conclusions: Andrew will follow-up with Peter.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:24 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Barbara B.Nichols
i
