Town of mashpee <br /> mashpee Public Library <br /> Library Expansion Building Committee <br /> Transcription <br /> March 1, 2000 Meeting <br /> The Town of mashpee Library Expansion Building Conittee <br /> meeting was called to order~ at the Mashpee Public Library, in the <br /> Library Meeting Room, 100 Nathan Ellis Highway, Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts, on Wednesday, larch 1, 2000 .* The Chairman, David <br /> Burton, presided. <br /> Committee Members present.- David Burton,. Chairman; Ernest <br /> Cole, Jr. ; Edward DeFoe; and Grace Talmage. <br /> Also present : Helene DeFoe, Library Director. <br /> quorum being present, the Chairman called the meeting t <br /> order. He stated Minutes would not be approved at this Meeting. <br /> The purpose of this Meeting being discussion of a preliminary <br /> report received by Powers and Company, the firm hired by the Town <br /> to provide a feasibility study. <br /> first version design program has been submitted, February <br /> 25, 20 00, for discussion and provision of a first installment <br /> payment to Powers and Company. <br /> At this point the Chairman deferred to Ed and Helene DeFoe <br /> for the purpose of introducing the program. <br /> Ed DeFoe stated additional information has been faxed to the <br /> Library from Darlene Powers. He stated review of the program <br /> being proposed by the architect is necessary. Said program <br /> consists of sizing the building to conform with the- requirement <br /> of the Library expansion project, which has been based upon <br /> information collected- by the architects. <br /> The Library Director reported on recently received <br /> information from Darlene Powers: "meeting to Review <br /> Program Submission-A meeting was Meld to review the program <br /> submitted by Powers and Company February 25th) . The program <br /> draft was reviewed in its entirety. while some clerical errors <br /> were corrected and information was- clarified in general, the <br /> entire program information was found to be complete. The final <br /> program section of the study will be resubmitted on approval by <br /> the Committee of the draft program. One copy for reproduction <br /> by the Town for their reader use. Later the program will be part <br /> of a larger study submission. ,, <br /> "Powers requested that Helene and the Building Committee <br /> review and approve the program while Powers proceeds with concept <br /> design in order to keep the contract schedule. wring this time <br /> the staff and Powers will participate in department programming <br />
