Darlene voiced concern <br /> that there be an active Building Committee so that the project <br /> moves quickly through concept design. our past strategy has been <br /> to have working sessions with less than meeting quorums and then <br /> to schedule meetings as work needs to be approved. " <br /> "The Committee will meet March lst to review program and <br /> approve requisition 1. At that time knowing when the first <br /> concept design meeting will be scheduled, Powers will submit a <br /> concept design schedule for use during the phase of work. In <br /> general there may be two to four reviews and one to two Building <br /> Committee Meetings for review and approvals. Powers has several <br /> requests for information from Fields Point which will be sent for <br /> review and determination of how their requests are commun.icated. 1f <br /> "Attachment to this Pax-Powers is anxious to receive <br /> direction from the Town regarding the deed rights of Fields <br /> Point. " <br /> The Library Director reported that subsequent to the last <br /> Committee Meeting, Darlene Powers met with Douglas Storrs, <br /> Mashpee Commons. Mr. Storrs explained to her that there Was a <br /> Deed restriction on the land donated to the Torn for use as the <br /> present Library site. Said restriction provides Mashpee Commons <br /> with -design review options regarding the proposed -expansion <br /> project, with specific language regarding "appropriate design1" . <br /> The Library Director has verified this information via copy <br /> of the Deed from the Registry of Deeds. The Town Administrator <br /> has been made aware of this development and is now seeking <br /> determination from Town Counsel as to the extent of Mashpee <br /> Commons , design approval . <br /> The Library Director further reported that John Rent has <br /> expressed an interest in becoming a Member~ of the Building <br /> Comittee. The Board of Selectmen has determined that allowing <br /> -2- <br />
