T <br /> i <br /> He stated that he wasn't certainr but that it wouId probably be 10%. He stated that 15% of the <br /> architect's work is completed: leaving % left to do. $390,909 has already been billed, for <br /> architect design work completed. Randall will check to confirm whether the 10%would apply <br /> only toward the remaining % left to do. Randall stated that Stewart Roberts would be permitted <br /> to bid on the job. He further stated that if a different architect were selected other than Roberts to <br /> develop final plans for the library, additional architect's fees would undoubtedly be incurred. <br /> Jane Dolan reported that here is a renewable Energy Trust Fund administered by the <br /> Massachusetts Technology collaborative'providing grants made available through the Green <br /> building Program. Two grants of up to$500,000 per project are becoming available, one in <br /> Larch 19, 2004 and the second In.dune 17 2004. Any grant applied for would need to be. <br /> approved by the Selectmen, Randall stated that in order to be considered for such a grant it is <br /> necessary to meet a checklist of standards. It is a very arduous process that needs to begin very <br /> early in the design of the building. The committee agreed that it would be worthwhile <br /> investigating the possibility for the library building project. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS. <br /> •� <br /> Dave Burton stated that he-would bring the results of the library poll to the next meeting <br /> on Feb. 17th. <br /> • Bonnie thanked ed Ima-r for attending the meeting tonight, and assured Buff Chace he was <br /> welcome to attend any future library co miffee meetings. <br /> Bonnie announced the resignation of Grace Talmage from the Library Building <br /> committee. It was agreed that a letter of thanks be seat to Grace, recognizing her hard <br /> work and commitment to the project since its inception. It was suggested that, after <br /> receipt of her letter of resignation, the committee may want-to name her ars honorary <br /> member of the committee. <br /> Jane Dolan mentioned the establishment of the Cape Cod Fire charitable Foundation, <br /> which will be distributing 1 to nonprofit organizations on carpe cod. Information on <br /> this will be forwarded to Torry O'Neill. <br /> Bonnie will be on vacation from Feb. 1 11h, until April 2. In her absence, Sheldon Gilbert <br /> will be acting Chairman for the committee. <br /> The next Library Building Committee meeting was set for Tuesday, February 17t", 2004 at :00 <br /> PM at the ll ashpee Public Library.
