' f Y x ELECTION OF OFFICERS In order to facilitate election of officers for the LBC, the committee agreed that members should submit the nares of their nominees for Chairman, First Vice Chairman, and Second Vice Chairman to Bonnie Barrett and/or Sheldon Gilbert by Thursday, April 22. The election of officers will take place at the LBC meeting of April 27, 2004. Those members who will be unabie to aftend the 4/27/04 meeting should notify Bonnie Barrett and/or Sheldon-Gilbert in advance.of the meeting. Bonnie Barrett indicated that she will continue to serve as acting chairman of the LBC until new officers are eluted, but because o time constraints due to work and travel requirer"ents, she does not wish to be considered as a candidate far Chairman of the committee. KNEED FOR ADDITIONAL LBCI .Es The.LBC currently has.10 memb rs, with a capacity for a total of 13. The committee is eager to recruit individual who can contribute to its deliberations and its program of presentations to various community groups and-organizations. It would be helpful to have an attorney, a former local official, and/or a businessman to join the aster of committee members.- OLD BUSINESS A revised schedule for activities leading to construction of the new library is-aftached,. (see Aftachment A)M. NEW BUSINESS The editorial which appeared in the April g, 2004 Mashpee Enterprise regarding the progress of the Library B'ullding Program, written bar the editor of the paper, appeared without prior consult tion with the LBC. David Burton, a Library.Trustee, is expected to send a Lefter to the Editor to respond to the inaccuracies in the Article.
