At a meeting with two members of the Friends, the observation was rade that the group needs to re-energize
its membership in order to become a Friable support mechanism for the library.
2. At a meeting with the Library Board of Trustees, a presentation was made of the 5 options available to the LBC.
The Board stated that they are in support of the structure of the new library, and agreed with the LBC
preference of Option 1.
. At a meeting with Joyce Mason, Sheldon and Bonnie confirmed that no more than $3,500,000 would be asked
from the Town by the LBC for construction of a new library. It was also confirmed that an additional $800,000
to $1,000,o0o would need to be raised in order to complete 0 ption 1, all of which would not be r'equir'ed at the
onset of construction. Relocation costs will core strictly from fundraising, not the bonding process. Should
the library bonding process coincide with the expiration of existing bonds, it is likely that townspeople would not
experience an increase in taxes.
