Our <br /> first obligation, therefore, is to them. Negative opinions that are expressed by members of the library <br /> "family" to the Selectmen do not serge any useful purpose to the cause of the work of the LBC. We need <br /> to remember whoa it is that we serge. <br /> STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS. tri .. <br /> Publicity. Bonnie Barrett reported that the first meeting was held on May Committee members <br /> present at that meeting included Ted Nadolny, Sunny Merritt, Maureen Rounds, Ann I apolitano, Jerry <br /> Blurnengarten, Ann MacDonald Dailey, Sheldon Gilbert and Bonnie Barrett. An active publicity program <br /> will begin after the June 7 tri presentation at the Selectmen's meeting. Large posters will be distributed to <br /> banks, markets and other major locations in the to-w . Jerry Blurnengarten will work on preparation of a <br /> bro hUre for distribution in the library, and in meetings with various social, condominium and religious <br /> groups, at markets and fairs. Preparation'of a video will be worked on for use by the local TV station; an <br /> interview by Janice Wafford on her local TV show"Fo s"was another idea presented for consideration. <br /> library benefit auction is to be held on July 24th at Poppon s et Marketplace, sponsored by Plymouth <br /> Savings Bank and The New Se b ry Co. L.P. - Ted I adolny will insert a flier in his October mailing, to <br /> get the Grote out at Town Meeting. The publicity.committee is scheduled to meet next on Jure 14tf. <br /> Presentations. Sheldon Gilbert announced the following presentations: <br /> June 2, Rotary Club. Helene DeFoe, president-elect, will attend. <br /> - June 2, Preserve Mashpee Group, Sheldon will attend. <br /> - June 7th, Board of Selectmen presentation <br /> Sheldon Mated that the Selectmen would receive a package prig to the Jure tr, presentation that will <br /> incl'ude a copy of the presentation, a bullet point page, elevations and floor plans for both the '17131 and <br /> ,1 Library proposals, a preliminary estimated cost of construction budget-summary, a current <br /> schedule of activities, a Quitclaim Deed for the Library site, and a list of the participants who attended the <br /> Forum held on May8th. <br /> Sheldon met with Ma hpee Commons Ltd Partners today, during which Jim Vaccaro made some helpful <br /> suggestions on the presentation to be given to the Selectmen. Jim noted that the Selectmen are all very <br /> concerned about the increased staffing and operating costs that will result from the new literary. <br /> Puna Raising.
