All applicants are potential recipients of grant money, which is spread out ove.r three <br /> years. <br /> Library Improvement Project Status.. <br /> Helene DeFoe reported that Ray Martini of the Town maintenance department suggested that <br /> Thursday and Friday after the Labor Day weekend would be a good time to paint the library <br /> interior. Diana Lannon is contacting carpet Barn about a donation of new carpet. Interviewing for <br /> the reinstated fulltime library position will begin in September. By October, the refurbishing <br /> project should be completed. Hopefully by October 1, the library will be reopened on Fridays. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Forum reports. Sheldon Gilbert stated that he has received only three reports. A full report will <br /> be distributed to the LBC when all foam participants have submitted their reports. <br /> Baby Sitting at Town Meeting. The LBC learned that;there is always babysitting service available <br /> at Town Meetings. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> FSE: DCPC NOMINATION. Sheldon Gilbert added this topic to the agenda not to tate a position <br /> but merely to examine its consequences. The moratorium should not affect the construction of <br /> the new library, which is scheduled to begin July 6t", 200 6, because the DCPC would have <br /> expired before that date., <br /> Helene [ Foe reminded the committee that the Central Register deadline date is very important, <br /> wraN <br /> and is not far away. <br /> y <br /> Sheldon Gilbert reported that he has a draft IFP ready for review by,Joyce Mason. <br /> The LBC will ask the Selectmen for$20,000, for the purpose of review of the conceptual plans for <br /> a larger library, and for the services of an independent cost estimator. <br /> The next meeting of the LBC was scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 7 thx 2004} at Town Hall.
