Dare reported that Ted Nadoiny, President of the <br /> Friends of the Ma h ee Public Library, had broken down the fundraising effort into public areas � <br /> by businesses and individual donors, both large and small. There.is a list of 600 Mashpee area <br /> businesses, which is being reviewed and broken down into two categories of one-person shops <br /> and large chains in Mashpee. <br /> Local bark branch managers have been contacted to come together for an informational ,meeting <br /> to determine whether it would be possible to apply for a grant. This meeting will take place after <br /> the first of the year. -Melinda Gallant, former president of the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce <br /> and now Manager of Mashpee Commons, has offered her assistance in the fundraising effort. <br /> The get-out-the-vote mass veiling, conducted by the Friends of the Library in late October, <br /> received 150 responses, raised $5,500 and has added to the ranks of library volunteers. <br /> preliminary fundraisers playbook is being assembled as a resource kit for use by the fundraisers <br /> committee and others, and includes general and specific fundraising information including p#edge <br /> forms, and lists of potential donors. The kit will be updated as schematics are designed and <br /> finalized. Tori O'Neill has two cocktail party events cbrning up in the next 8 weeks targeted <br /> toward the more substantial donors. <br /> J.'STEI ART ROBERTS TS REPORT. Mr. Roberts stated that he is now concentrating on <br /> development of a revised plan that will meet the grant requirements, He quickly reviewed the <br /> original 20,285 square ft. design with 12,265 sq. ft on the first floor, and 8,020 sq. ft on the <br /> second floor. He has added 1500 square feet to the back of the building in this plan, corning up <br /> with a 21,785 sq. ft design, adding that Patience Jackson's comments had been addressed. <br /> Copies of his revised 21,785 sq, ft. plan were distributed for review. Highlights of the revised.plan <br /> follow. <br /> On the fiat floor, he has enlarged the staff work room; moved the maintenance room; added a <br /> children's toilet room',; moved the toddler area to the entrance to the children's library; located the <br /> computers closer to the circulation desk; moved the public toilet area closer to the circulation <br /> desk; and added two emergency staircases. <br />
