Melinda has volunteered her services to <br /> assist with the fundraising efforts of the L13c. <br /> In teras of business and larger private donations, some rather substantial individual donors are <br /> going to be approached. Sheldon Gilbert stated that donor names need to be kept confidential, <br /> unless the donor requests that it be made public. Bonnie Barrett reminded the committee that <br /> any information placed in a Selectman's and/or Town Manager's mailbox is readily available to <br /> news reporters. <br /> David Burton stated that he has inklings of more cash donations to cote in. Potential donors <br /> should be made aware of nor -naming opportunities in the new library. <br /> TEMPORARY HOUSING—.lane Dolan. scottsman has confirmed that 3 buildings that would <br /> accommodate our requirement ent of 4,000 square feet of space could be obtained for$40,000. <br /> possibility would be to place the buildings on the"village green" across the street from the <br /> library or behind the existing library.. The old.senior Center building may still an option for the <br /> temporary use of the library. The other possible options are the high school and space that <br /> might be donated by Ma tepee Commons Limited. <br /> OLD USINESS <br /> David Burton announced that the trees have been felled in preparatio for instcillation of the shed <br /> for storage of books. Due to the blizzard that occurred on January 23rd, the space that was <br /> earmarked for the shed is now filled with snow. Thus, the project has been delayed. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> A new grant opportunity for a green building has been identified in the Kresge Foundation. Jane <br /> Dolan will follow up on the details of the grant application requirements. <br /> Sheldon Gilbert expressed his appreciation to the committee for their valuable input on the%rant <br /> application information he will present to the Selectmen at their meeting on Monday, Feb. 7 . <br /> Members of the library family are welcome to attend as a showing of support for the project. <br /> The next meeting of the Library Building Committee was scheduled for Tuesday, March 1, 200 51 <br /> at 7:00 PM at the library. dice Chairman Bonnie Barrett will chair the meeting in Sheldon <br /> Gilbert's absence. <br /> As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9.1 o PM. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Ina G.
