Scott Plan Book#281 <br /> 118 Echo Road(Map 19 Parcel 9) Page: #21 <br /> Mashpee,MA 02649 Lot: #11 <br /> A Petition was filed on July 7,2017 by Petitioner,Robert J.Bortolotti requesting a <br /> Special Permit under§174-25 F(13)to allow for a contractor stock yard for earth materials <br /> and related equipment on property located in an 1-1 Zoning District, at 118 Echo Road, <br /> (Map 19 Parcel 9), Mashpee,MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A.Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpee,on July 14, 2017 and July 21, 2017 a copy of <br /> which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §9 and the Town of Mashpee <br /> Zoning By-laws. <br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday,August 9,2017 at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals <br /> were present;Chairman,Jonathan F'urbush,Board Members,Ron Bonvie,Scott Goldstein, <br /> and Associate Members, Brad Pittsley and Norman J. Gould. Also present was Building <br /> Commissioner,Michael Mendoza. <br /> Mr, Robert Bortolotti,Owner of Bortolotti Construction represented himself for the <br /> Special Permit request. He is the operator of the property located at 118 Echo Road. He <br /> believes his business use is appropriate for the Industrial Zoned location and is consistent <br /> with the abutters in that area. His operation has been in existence since 1995 and he was <br /> asked to go before the Town due to the runoff of dirt in the road way during wet conditions, <br /> and he was asked to explain what type of operation was causing this to happen. <br /> Mr. Bortolotti met with the DPW and the Building Commissioner who expressed <br /> their concerns,and he believes that he is mostly compliant.He said that the apron is being <br /> installed, and he is willing to comply with any other requests. He also met with Glen <br /> Harrington, at Board of Health who expressed his willingness to help him apply for the <br /> DEP application for the General Permit for eomposting. <br /> 1 <br />
