f <br /> t � 16 <br /> ter rut tAr(xoar# Aionh <br /> 11aslipr ,is rrssctefai.rsetts.0 G .1 <br /> MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> DECISION FOR A VARIANCE <br /> V-2017-26 <br /> Kevin Dorney Doc.#1223786 <br /> 44 Shore Drive Ct£: #200634 <br /> (Map 118 Parcel 64) <br /> Mashpce,MA 02649 <br /> ,A Petition was filed on April 21, 2017 by Owner, Kevin Dorney requesting a <br /> Variance of the front yard setback under §174-31 of the Zoning Bylaws to allow for <br /> construction of a deck and conversion of the attached garage into a three season porch on <br /> property located in an R-3 Zoning District and the Popponesset Overlay District,44 Shore <br /> Drive,Map 118 Parcel 64,Mashpee,MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A.Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise,a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpce, on April 28,2017 and May 5,2017 a copy of <br /> which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §10 and the Town of Mashpee <br /> Zoning By-laws, <br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals <br /> were present; Chairman, Jonathan Furbush, Vice Chairman, William Blaisdell, Board <br /> Members,Ron Bonvie,Dom DeBarros,and Scott Goldstein,and Associate Members,Brad <br /> Pittsley and Norman J. Gould. Also present was Building Commissioner, Michael <br /> Mendoza, <br /> Mr. Kevin Dorney represented himself for the Variance request for the front yard <br /> off of Bluff Ave.He is seeking relief to add on extra living space for his family.Mr.Dorney <br /> said that the deck is important to adding additional outside space as well as access from the <br /> exiting parking area on Bluff Avenue and would be easier access to the house. <br /> Mr. Mendoza mentioned to the Board about the conversation he had with the <br /> applicant. What the applicant had proposed was a smaller design, but as the applicant was <br /> talking about his family, and if a wheelchair was ever needed, it would need to be user <br /> friendly and made more sense for the parking and access to the house. <br /> Mr. Furbush read an abutter letter from Robert A. Vieira, who resides at 71 Bluff <br /> Avenue has no objections to the project. <br /> 1 <br />
