TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> Minutes <br /> Wednesday, October 28, 1998 <br /> The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, October 28, 1998, at 7:30 <br /> P.M. at the Mashpee Town Hall, Board Members present were Chairman Edward M. <br /> Govoni, Vice Chairman James E. Regan Ili, Robert G. Nelson and Associate Members <br /> Richard T. Guerrera and James M. Dorgan. Associate Member Michael A. Makunas was <br /> absent. Building Commissioner William F. Hauck and Local Inspector Russell W. <br /> Wheeler were in attendance. <br /> William B. Kell v -Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-20 of the Zoning By- <br /> laws for permission to demolish an existing mobile home, two sheds and a porch and <br /> construct a two-bedroom home on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 376 <br /> Monomoscoy Road (Map 125 Block 18), Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting; Edward M, Govoni, Robert G. Nelson and James M. Dorgan. Mr. <br /> Regan stepped down. <br /> Mr. Kelly represented his application by stating his proposal is to demolish an existing <br /> mobile home, two sheds and a cement slab in disrepair on the lot. He indicated that it <br /> would be an aesthetic improvement to the neighborhood. He said his plan is to construct <br /> either a cape-style or colonial-style home. Mr. Govoni instructed Mr. Kelly to submit <br /> plans of the proposed dwelling for review by the Board of Appeals before proceeding <br /> with construction. <br /> Mark Scofield and Audrey K. Nickerson, abutters to the property, stated that they had no <br /> objection to the project as it would enhance the neighborhood. Mr. Scofield requested <br /> !' that the existing stockade fence between his property and Mr. Kelly's property be <br /> !' maintained. Mr. Kelly affirmed he plans on maintaining the fence. <br /> Mr. Kelly informed the Board that he has received setback requirements and approval <br /> from the Conservation Commission, <br /> Mr, Nelson moved to grant the Special Permit because of the following: <br /> the removal of the mobile home, the two sheds and the slab and installation of a <br /> i new septic system will be an improvement to the neighborhood, <br /> the adjoining neighbors are in favor of the plan. <br /> E <br /> Mr. Govoni seconded.
