Board of Appeals Minutes - August 26, 1998 3. <br /> William L Cohen- Requests a Variance from Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> permission to vary the front setback requirements to allow for a 26 foot front setback for a <br /> house addition on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 9 Chart Way(Map 106 <br /> Block 17)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Mr. and Mrs. Cohen represented themselves and indicated that they are also requesting a <br /> variance for lot coverage. Engineer Norman Hayes of the BSC Croup filed for an <br /> extension on behalf of the Cohens. Mr. Regan confirmed that they would need an <br /> extension in order to properly advertise the additional request in the Public Hearing <br /> Notice. No comments have been received from abutters. <br /> Mr. Nelson moved to grant the Cohens an extension. Mr. Dorgan seconded. All agreed. <br /> Mr. Nelson moved to accept the minutes of August 12, 1998. Mr. Dorgan seconded. All <br /> agreed. <br /> Mr. Regan asked for a ruling from Town Counsel on determining percentage of lot <br /> coverage when a deck or porch is proposed. <br /> Mr. Regan mentioned correspondence from Building Commissioner William F. Hauck <br /> regarding the proposal of additional parking at Deer Crossing. He also inquired about a <br /> landscaping bond from Harwich Concrete Block. The bond was received on August 26, <br /> 1998. He addressed the problem of littering from Dick and Ellie's Flea Market. He <br /> requested that Mr. Hauck be contacted regarding the flashing light on the <br /> Telecommunications Tower at the Industrial Park, <br /> Mr, Nelson moved to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Dorgan seconded.
