BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> Minutes <br /> Wednesday, February 25, 1998 - 7:30 P.M. <br /> The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, February 25, 1998 at 7:30 <br /> P.M. at the Mashpee Town Hall, Board members present were: Edward M. Govoni, <br /> Chairman; James E. Regan III, Vice-Chairman; Cheryl A. Hawver, Clerk and Associate <br /> Members Robert G. Nelson, Richard T: Guerrera, James M. Dorgan and Michael A. <br /> Makunas, Building Inspector William F. Hauck was in attendance. <br /> Edward J. Moran -Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25.1.9 of the Zoning By- <br /> laws for the construction of a pier, ramp and float on Popponesset Creek on property <br /> located in an R-3 zoning district at 126 Waterway(Map 105, Block 23 1)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: E. Govoni, J. Regan, C. Hawver <br /> Engineer Norman Hayes represented the applicant and reviewed plans for a dock and float <br /> which had been approved by Conservation and the Harbor Master, No comments were <br /> received from abutters. Mr. Regan moved to grant the Special Permit. Ms. Hawver <br /> seconded and stated Decision should include provisions for maintenance and repair in <br /> Perpetuity. Mr. Govoni made the vote unanimous. <br /> John J. and Catherine J. Brennan - Request a Variance from Section 174-2519 of the <br /> Zoning By-laws for permission to exceed the 70 foot dock length limit to allow a 192 foot <br /> dock on Ockway Bay on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 38 Fiddler Crab <br /> Lane (Map 105, Block 102)Mashpee, MA, <br /> John J. and Catherine J. Brennan - Request a Special Permit under Section 174-25.1.9 of <br /> the Zoning By-laws for the construction of a pier, ramp and float on Ockway Bay on <br /> property located in an R-3 zoning district at 38 Fiddler Crab Lane (Map 105, Block 102) <br /> Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: E. Govoni, J. Regan, C. Hawver <br /> Norman Hayes explained that the length of the dock is necessary since it crosses reserve <br /> land owned by New Seabury. He explained that the location had been suggested by the <br /> Harbormaster and Shellfish Warden for minimum impact on the marsh. The project has <br /> received Conservation Commission approval. <br /> Ms. Hawver moved to grant the Variance and Special Permit, Mr. Regan seconded. Mr. <br /> Govoni made the votes unanimous. The Permit will include statement for maintenance <br /> and repair in perpetuity. <br />
