TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> Minutes <br /> February 11, 1998 <br /> The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, February 11, 1998 at 7:30 <br /> P,M. in the Mashpee Town Hall, Board Members present were Edward M. Govoni, <br /> Chairman; James E. Regan III, Vice Chairman; Cheryl A. Hawver, Clerk; and Associate <br /> Members Michael A. Makunas and Richard T. Guerrera. Associate Members Robert G. <br /> Nelson and James M, Dorgan were absent. Building Inspector William F. Hauck was in <br /> attendance. <br /> Sou-�-�Ort -Mr. Govoni stated that the Building Inspector wanted all Boards to be <br /> informed of the work at Southport. Attorney Kevin Kirrane reviewed the status of the <br /> units and explained that many of the units need renovation. He presented a report on <br /> inspections which have been done on all of the units. Ron Bonvie of Southport stated that <br /> 99 units.are in various stages of completion but most have had vandalism. He explained <br /> that hurricanes and windstorms have done damage on the amenity center and the fences <br /> and trees. <br /> Mr. Regan asked about the treatment plant and Mr. Bonvie said it was 90% complete but <br /> cannot be started until there are 40 to 50 occupancies, Mr. Kirrane said they were in <br /> first phase and Mr. Hauck sugges <br /> compliance with the original Special Permit for the ted <br /> he review it with the Board periodically, Mr. Bonvie said they hope to start marketing the <br /> units in the Spring, <br /> Karen R, Carroll -Requests a Variance from Section 17441 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> permission to vary the lot coverage requirements to allow for 25,4% coverage on property <br /> located in an R-3 zoning district at 12 Squaw's Lane (Map 117, Block 82)Mashpee MA. <br /> Karen R, Carroll -Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-17 of the Zoning By-laws <br /> for permission to expand a single family home with a 700 square foot addition on p operty <br /> located in an R-3 zoning district at 12 Squaw's Lane (Map 117,Block 82)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: E. Govoni, C. Hawver, M. Makunas <br /> Mr. Regan stepped down from the Board for this hearing, <br /> Engineer David Sanicki represented the applicant and presented plans for the expansion of <br /> a single story home with a Amily room. He explained that the house will remain a 3 <br /> bedroom home and the addition will be elevated to meet the flood zone requirements. He <br /> stated that a new septic system is planned and Conservation has approved the project and <br /> that many houses in the area have been improved with additions. <br />
