MASHPEE BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> MINUTES <br /> Wednesday, August 27, 1997 <br /> The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting at 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, August 27, <br /> 1997 at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members present were Edward M. Govoni, <br /> Chairman; James E. Regan III, Vice Chairman; Cheryl A. Hawver, Clerk and Associate <br /> Members Michael A. Makunas, Robert G. Nelson and James M. Dorgan, Associate <br /> Member Richard T. Guerrera was absent. Building Inspector William F, Hauck was in <br /> attendance. <br /> Katharine F. Lin felt r- requests a Variance from Section 174-25.19 of the Zoning <br /> By-laws for permission to exceed the 70 foot dock length limit to allow for a 120 foot <br /> dock on Little River on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 65 Seconsett Point <br /> Road(Map 124, Block 14)Mashpee, MA, <br /> Katharine F. Linga felter-requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25.1.9 of the <br /> Zoning By-laws for the construction of a walkway, pier, ramp and float on Little River on <br /> property located in an R-3 zoning district at 65 Seconsett Point Road (Map 124, Block <br /> 14)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: E. Govoni, J. Regan, C. Hawver <br /> Barbara Frappier of Warwick Associates represented the applicant and explained that the <br /> dock has been redesigned to meet the requirements of the Harbormaster. Mr. Govoni <br /> questioned distance from the edge of the saltmarsh and Ms. Frappier explained it was 132 <br /> feet. No comments were received from abutters. The applications have been approved by <br /> the Conservation Commission, Shellfish Constable and Harbormaster. <br /> Ms. Hawver moved to grant the Variance of 62 feet to allow a dock 132 feet from the <br /> edge of the wetlands and to allow for maintenance and repair in perpetuity. Mr. Regan <br /> seconded. All agreed. <br /> Ms. Hawver moved to grant the Special Permit for the construction of the walkway, pier <br /> and float. Mr. Regan seconded. All agreed. Mr. Govoni conditioned the permit to allow <br /> for 5' to 6' under dock for tidal fishing. <br /> r <br /> t <br />
