Veronica Warden abstained.
NEW BUSINESS
■
RFP Subcommittee Report
Ruth Elias stated that there were two agencies that submitted applications, one of which was
Collaborative Research from Providence, Rhode Island, whose proposal was very comprehensive.
Janice Walford reported that there were nine companies that expressed interest in bidding on this
project. only tiro returned the actual request for information; one from Collaborative Research in
Rhode Island, and the other from a firm in feller, Texas. The proposal received from the Keller,
Texas firm was dropped from consideration because of their insufficient breakdown of services
provided for the $35,000 fee.
Ms, Walford stated that because there were just two interested responses to our RFP, it was an
indication that there was very little competence in this particular field. Ms. Walford stated that
Virginia Thomas, an employee of Collaborative Research, will be the.lead consultant on the
project. Ms. Thomas outlined the following fire phases:
Phase 1.
