Ills. Thomas stated that she has
been working during summers on various community projects. Ms. Thomas explained that
Collaborative research has backup in all kinds of fields, including mental health, finance,
community relations: the firm works as a team. The committee agreed that because this is Ms.
Thomas's first assignment, it will behoove her to come through with a precedent-setting model that
meets the needs of the Town of Mashpee and is workable. Janice Walford added that Ibis. Thomas
is very personable, speaks very well, and exudes an air of self-confidence.
Mary Scanlan stressed the importance of reviewing the existing Human Services contracts. Other
suggestions included having Ms. Thomas meet with former Human Services coordinator Louise
Patrick, who would be an excellent contact for background information.
