t' <br /> TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> Minutes <br /> Wednesday, December 9 , 1992 <br /> The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, <br /> December 9 , 1992 at 7 : 30 P .M. at the Mashpee Town Hall . Board <br /> members present and acting throughout were John J. Friel, <br /> Michael A. Makunas and Cheryl A. Hawver . Building Inspector <br /> William F. Hauck was in attendance. <br /> Baybury Villa a Association - Requests a Special Permit under <br /> Section 174-25 . 1 . 9 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to <br /> construct a stairway, pier, gangway and float in an R-3 zoning <br /> district on property located on Godfrey Road (Map 96 , Block <br /> 1041 ) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: J . Friel , M. Makunas, C. Hawver <br /> Engineer Douglas Cameron represented the applicant and <br /> presented plans for a stairway, pier, gangway and float to be <br /> used by many of the residents of Baybury Village . The project <br /> is located on the Mashpee River and replaces an old stairway. <br /> The Board was informed that association members who want to <br /> use the dock can participate in the construction costs . All <br /> other waterfront lots already have docks . <br /> Mr . Makunas moved to grant the permit. Ms . Hawver seconded. <br /> All agreed. <br /> Benway Sisters_' _Trust - Requests a Variance from Section <br /> 174-25 . I .9 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to vary the <br /> dock length of 70 ' in an R-3 zoning district on property <br /> located at 12 Popponesset Island Road (Map 105 , Block 266 ) <br /> Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: J . Friel, M. Makunas, C . Hawver <br /> Engineer Sohn Slavinsky represented the applicant and <br /> explained that the applicant had received a Special Permit for <br /> a dock but that both Conservation and Shellfish Commissions <br /> had suggested length be extended 25 ' beyond zoning. This will <br /> result in an additional one foot depth of water . A letter was <br /> received from Conservation recommending the 95 ' length. <br /> Mr. Makunas moved to grant the Variance allowing a 25 ' <br /> extension. Ms . Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br />
