TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> Minutes <br /> November 27, 1991 <br /> The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, <br /> November 27, 1991 at 7 : 30 P. M. at the Mashpee Town Hall . <br /> Board members present and acting throughout were : Michael A . <br /> Makunas, Edward M . Govoni and John J . Friel . <br /> Gary and Marie D ' Aleo - Request a Special Permit under Section <br /> 174 . 25 . A . 8 of the Zoning By- laws for permission to construct <br /> an in-law apartment in an R-3 zoning district on property <br /> located at 15 Arles Lane ( Map 93, Block 30 ) Mashpee, MA . <br /> ( Owner of record : Vincent S . Porciello TR ) . <br /> Members sitting : M . Makunas, E . Govoni, J . Friel <br /> Mr . Porciello and Mr. D ' Aleo represented the petition . Mr. <br /> Porciello explained that Mr. D' Aleo and his wife and mother <br /> plan to live in the house with his mother having a separate <br /> apartment . He stated that Mrs . D ' Aleo Senior had planned to <br /> purchase in Southport but other arrangements had to be made <br /> because of the incompletion of Southport . <br /> Mr . Makunas stated that the area is in the Groundwater <br /> Protection District voted at the last Town Meeting . There <br /> was discussion of a limit on ground coverage and number of <br /> bedrooms . Mr. Porciello explained that the covenants on the <br /> development required large houses and Bruce Fulton, an <br /> abutter, said everyone in the area would like the D' Aleo ' s to <br /> be able to build . <br /> Mr . Friel asked if plans had been submitted to the Water <br /> District and he was informed that they had been sent a plot <br /> plan with layout of house . <br /> Mr. Friel moved to grant the Special Permit as requested . <br /> Mr. Govoni seconded . All agreed . <br /> Patrick F . and Carol J . Enright - Request a Variance from <br /> Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to vary <br /> the side setback in an R-3 zoning district on property <br /> located at 27 Sand Dollar Lane ( Map 105, Block 88 ) Mashpee, <br /> Ma . <br /> Members sitting : M . Makunas, E. Govoni, J . Friel <br /> Daniel Buckley of New Seabury Engineering and David <br /> O ' Sullivan, Architect, represented the applicants . Mr. <br /> O ' Sullivan reviewed plans for a proposed garage located 3 ' <br /> off the sideline boundary . He explained that the Enrights• <br /> will be rebuilding an existing reta.inina wall on the <br />
