O ' Sullivan stated there would not be any <br /> machinery used on the Balducci land but there would be foot <br /> traffic . Mr . Makunas, E . Govoni, J . Friel <br /> Attorney William Henchy represented the applicant and <br /> explained that an existing float would be replaced by a new <br /> ramp, dock and pier . He said Both Conservation and Shellfish <br /> Commissions suggested moving dock to deeper water. He said <br /> plans originally called for a boardwalk but it was removed <br /> after objections from an abutter, Mr. Reidy . He asked to <br /> refer the discussion to Mario DeGregorio of Sabatia, a <br /> shellfish expert and Roger Michniewicz, the engineer . <br /> Mr . Makunas noted that no objections had been received from <br /> Conservation or Shellfish . <br /> Mr . DeGregorio explained that the applicant has a mooring and <br /> wanted a sturdier structure of a 35 ' pier and four seasonal <br /> floats . He said they had taken soundings to show ledge where <br /> shellfish resources are located and said the harbormaster <br /> said it would not impede navigation in Popponesset Creek . He <br /> explained that they would be going to the state for a Chapter <br /> 91 license . Mr . Michniewicz said it was an 18 ' fixed pier <br /> with a 16 ' seasonal ramp and four floats . <br /> Myles McHugh, a neighbor, explained that he would be looking <br /> directly at the dock and this would detract from a view. <br /> Sam Ruo, an abutter, said he dial not consider the location <br /> appropriate since area had been used by children for play . <br /> Clifford Dallmeyer, an abutter, said his grandchildren played <br /> on the lot . He said he had a mooring and walked to his boat <br /> at low tide . He said the Blythe pier would be blocking his <br />
