TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> j: <br /> Minutes <br /> Wednesday, September 11, 1991 <br /> The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting at 7:30 P.M. on <br /> Wednesday, September 11, 1991 at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members <br /> present and acting throughout were William J. Hanrahan, Chairman; <br /> Cheryl A. Hawver, Clerk; and Edward M. Govoni, Associate Member. <br /> Vice-Chairman Michael A. Makunas was present for all hearings except the <br /> Daley application and Associate Member John J. Friel was present <br /> for all hearings except the Cramer application. Building Inspector <br /> Douglas S. Boyd was in attendance. <br /> Robert Gleason - Requests a Special Permit under Sections 174-17 <br /> and 174-63 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to expand a pre- <br /> existing non-conforming structure with the addition of a family <br /> room and porch in an R--3 zoning district on property located at <br /> 79 Monahanset St. (Map 123, Block 89) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: W. Hanrahan, M. Makunas, C. Hawver <br /> Engineer Christopher Costa represented the applicant and presented <br /> plans for a family room addition and porch. He said owner would <br /> require a 13.2'side line setback and would maintain the same distance <br /> from the street at 26.9.'. Mr. Govoni questioned the lot coverage <br /> and Mr. Costa replied that coverage would increase from 10.2% to <br /> 18%. <br /> Mr. Makunas asked what setbacks were required when the structure <br /> was built and Mr. Boyd responded they were 10' sideline setbacks <br /> and 20' from the street. Mr. Hanrahan read a letter in favor of <br /> the application from, an abutter, Lorraine O'Neill. <br /> Mr. Makunas moved to grant the request for a Special Permit <br /> Ms. Hawver seconded. All agreed. <br /> Edmund F. and Jeannette Daley - Request a Variance from Section <br /> 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to vary the setback <br /> requirements in an R-S zoning district on property located at 108 <br /> Pond Circle (Map 64, Block 106) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: W, Hanrahan, C. Hawver, E. Govoni <br /> Mr. Makunas stepped down for this hearing. Tom Brown, builder, <br /> represented the applicant and explained that the owner proposed <br /> to build a garden shed for outside tools and that the topography <br /> of the lot prevented any other location. He said he had reviewed <br /> plans with neighbors and they had no objections. The shed will. <br /> be 10' x 12' , No comments were received from abutters. <br /> Ms. Hawver moved to grant the Variance based on plans submitted. <br /> Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed. <br />
