TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> Minutes <br /> Wednesday, June 26, 1991 <br /> The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting at 7:30 P.M. on <br /> Wednesday, June 26, 1991 at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members <br /> present and acting throughout were: Cheryl A. Hawver, Chairman; <br /> Michael A. Makunas, Vice-Chairman; William J. Hanrahan, Clerk; <br /> and Associate Members Edward M. Govoni and John J. Friel. Building <br /> Inspector Douglas S. Boyd was in attendance. <br /> Homecomings - Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25.E. 1 <br /> of the Zoning By-laws for permission to operate a retail store in <br /> a C-1 zoning district on property located at Building 10. 102 Mashpee <br /> Commons, 38 Nathan Ellis Highway (Map 74, Block 20) Mashpee, MA. <br /> (Owner of record: Fields Point Ltd. Partnership) <br /> Members sitting: C. Hawver, M. Makunas, W. Hanrahan <br /> Robin Sager represented the application and explained that <br /> she was operating a specialty store for kitchen equipment and would <br /> maintain store hours in compliance with the Mall requirements. <br /> Mr. Hanrahan moved to grant the Special Permit. Mr. Makunas <br /> seconded. All agreed. <br /> Laservision Unlimited - Requests a Special Permit under Section <br /> 174-25.E. 1 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to operate a retail <br /> store in a C-1 zoning district on property located at Building <br /> 11A.203-11A.206 Mashpee Commons, 38 Nathan Ellis Highway (Map 74, <br /> Block 20) Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: Fields Point Ltd. Partnership) . <br /> Members sitting: C. Hawver, M. Makunas, W. Hanrahan <br /> Dana Kott represented the application and informed the Board <br /> that the store would be selling and renting laser discs of motion <br /> pictures and music. They will be selling laser disc players and <br /> will not be handling video tapes or VCR's. Mr. Friel questioned <br /> if adult films would be stocked and Mr. Kott replied that they <br /> will not carry any X-rated or adult films. Mr. Kott stated that <br /> the costs of laser discs are much lower than the video tapes -- <br /> an average price of $29.95 for Disney films. <br /> Mr. Makunas moved to grant the Special Permit. Mr. Hanrahan <br /> seconded. All agreed. <br />
