TOWN OF MASHPEE BOARD OF APPEALS Minutes March 13, 1991 The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting at 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 13, 1991 at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board members present and acting throughout were Michael A. Makunas, Edward M. Govoni and John J. Friel. Mr. Makunas called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. Building Inspector Douglas Boyd was in attendance. Board of Appeals fees: Mr. Makunas moved to amend the Rules and Regulations to reflect the fee schedule of $100 per lot for applications for Special Permits, Variances and Appeals under Chapter 40A, and $100 per unit for Comprehensive Permit Applications under Chapter 40B. Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed. Mr. Makunas moved to accept the standard fee for the application of Edward Wasil. Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed. Lawrence W. Doyle - Requests a Special Permit under Sections 174-17 and 174-24 of the Zoning By-laws for permission to alter/change/ extend a pre- existing non-conforming structure by removing the existing building and constructing a new single family structure in an R-3 zoning district on property located at 15 Dean's Hollow Road (Map 123, Block 150) Mashpee, MA. (Owners of record: Lawrence W. and Hilda E. Doyle) . Members sitting: M. Makunas, E. Govoni, J. Friel Attorney Kevin Kirrane represented the applicant. He presented plans for the reconstruction of an existing seasonal home located in a flood plain at Popponesset. He explained that the architect determined that a new foundation would be necessary to comply with the required elevations. Mr. Kirrane reviewed plans for deck and walkways on sonar tubes. He said that the Building Inspector had ruled that the walkways would be considered essential for access and egress and would not be included in lot coverage percentages. No comments were received from abutters. Mr. Friel moved to grant the Special Permit referenced by plans of Ellis & Thulin 89-020 dated 1/18/91. Mr. Govoni seconded. All agreed.
