New Business 9.1 Cape Cod Tech -- 1999-2000 "Joint Exploratory Program" - <br /> The Committee expressed they would not be participating in the <br /> program this year. Mr. Fluery will follow up with a letter to Mr. <br /> Carroll stating this. <br /> 9.2 School Choice -- Included in the packet were questions and <br /> answers regarding school choice. Mir. Fluery reiterated that <br /> Mashpee is not a school choice district, however, if any parent <br /> grants their child(ren) to attend a school that does have school <br /> choice, they may do so. <br /> 9.3 1999-2000 School Committee Goals - After completing their <br /> "retreat" on August 16th, the School Committee devised the <br /> following five goals for the 1999-2000 school year: <br /> 1. Financial Plan and Negotiations <br /> 2. Middle School/High School organization, staffing, <br /> scheduling, accreditation, guidance data: drop-outs <br /> I M CAS I ova tests-district accountability <br /> . Professional development <br /> } Safety <br /> Following their "retreat" in late August, the administrative goals <br /> were the following: <br /> 1. Professional development <br /> 2. MCAS and safety (tied) <br /> 3. Financial Planning/negotiations <br /> . High School/Middle School organization <br /> Mr. Fluery explained the teachers will also be asked to complete <br /> and submit their goals during the Welcome Back Day on <br /> September 'nth. <br /> X, Committee Reports 10.1 Sub-Committee,Reports <br /> orts <br /> 10.1.1 Neizotiations. -- Mrs. Lynch said this will be discussed in <br /> executive session. <br /> 10-1.2 High School - Mrs. Mills said a meeting was held at <br /> discussion focused on report carols, warnings, . and <br /> discipline. <br /> 10.1.3le entga School - Mrs. Lynch said there has been no <br /> meeting but one will be scheduled soon. <br /> 10.1. Curriculum Ms. Macdonald said there have been no <br /> meetings yet. <br />
