t a M SHP SCHOOL COMMITTEE RE AR MEETING OCTOBER 13, 1999 Minutes Attendees: Chairwoman Kathleen Lynch, Janice Mills, Maxyanne Macdonald, Theresa Cook, and Stephen Paxton. Also in attendance were Superintendent of Schools Sherwood Fluery and Business Administrator Russ McCown. Call Meeting Mrs. lynch called the regular meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. in high to Order school conference room B103. I1. Approval of Minutes 2.1 lie lar Meetin - September 2 1999 - Motion made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Ms. Macdonald, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting-of September 2, 1999. VOTE: C nanimous 2.2 Executive Session - September-,-2.,___,l 999 - Motion made by Mr. Paxton, seconded by Ms. Macdonald, to approve the minutes of the executive session held on September 2, 1999. VOTE: Unanimous 2.3 Special Meeting - October 4, 199 9 -Motion motion made by Mrs. Cook seconded by Mr. Paxton, to approve the minutes of the special meeting of October 4, 1999. VOTE: In favor - Mrs. Mills, Ms. Macdonald, firs. Cook, and Mr. Paxton; abstained -- Mrs. Lynch. Ill, Public Forum There was no Public Forum input this evening. W. Acknowledgments Mrs. Lynch acknowledged the following: .1 Michael Pietro s i - Correspondence from Sergeant evac ua dated Se ternber 16, 1999 - A "thank you" from the Police l; epar ment for Mr. Pietrowski's assistance in coordinating.a teleconference video on school safety. 4.2 Hi_h school "Sportsmanship Honor Rail of Mashpee Schools" MIA - Correspondence was received from Athletic Director Michael Horne noting that Mashpee High School was included in August 31, 1999 edition of the "Sportsmanship Horror Roll of Member Schools. The school was identified as having no student or coach. disqualifications during the 1998-1999 school year. 4.3 willo bend Children's Charity - $I,500 .(Purchase books for Readers Club - Mrs. Lynch acknowledged wiilowbend's donation.
