MAS HPEE S H 0 0 L C0MMITT - REGULAR MEETING - OCTOBER 13 1999 PAGE 2 <br /> Mrs. Cook added thanks for the Supporters of Mashpee Public <br /> Schools for their efforts and support in obtainingsignatures for <br /> town-wide petition to help the school department obtain the <br /> additional $500,000. <br /> • Also, Mrs. Cook noted the Boston Globe article highlighting the <br /> Mashpee football team and all other Mashpee tens. <br /> V. Communications There were no School Committee "Communications" this evening. <br /> VI. Student Advisory Council Student Advisory Council representative Chris Maguire addressed <br /> the Committee apologizing for his past summer absences . <br /> Chris said he had attended a regional Student Advisory Council <br /> meeting in Wareham today where a mock Columbine High Shool <br /> incident took place. As a result of this meeting, Chris asked if <br /> Mashpee High School has a crisis plan in effect? Mr. Fluery <br /> answered that there is one in place but an improved one is <br /> currently being worked on. <br /> Due to the fact that Mr. Kevin 'Terrill was present in the audience, <br /> at this point, Mrs. Lynch asked to have '7.1. , "Leisure Services <br /> Advisory Council Liaison" discussed. The Committee agreed. <br /> 7.10 Leisure Services Adviso Council Liaison - ee nti it <br /> became necessary for ars additional liaison be added to the Leisure <br /> Services Advisory Council from the School Committee. Mr. Kevin <br /> Terrill applied to volunteer his time and efforts to this council and <br /> attended the School Committee meeting to introduce himself to the <br /> Committee and community. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by IVIS. Macdonald, to <br /> appoint Mr. Kevin Terrill as the liaison from the School Committee <br /> to the Leisure Services Advisory Council. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> VII. Report ofthe Sa rin- 7.1 Personnel-Mr. Fluery informed the Committee e of the <br /> tendent following personnel,issues: <br /> Mr. F'luery opened his report thanking the School Committee for <br /> the reception recently field.
