Mrs. Mills also suggested having after-school <br /> enrichment and gifted and talented programs returned to the school <br /> system. At this point, Mrs. Lynch recommended $7,500 in K-6 placed in <br /> the budget for after-school enrichment programs. <br /> Mr. Micown discussed supply needs for FYO I. <br /> .2 MCAS Mr. Fluery detailed the MCAS Action Plan. i After much <br /> discussion on the MCAS test results and High School principal Mr. <br /> Brovn's presentation regarding the reed for additional assistance in the <br /> areas of English Language Arts and Math, a motion was made by Mfrs. <br /> Cook, seconded by MIs. Macdonald, to approve the English/Language Arts <br /> and Math ramp-up positions at the high school. <br /> OTE: Unanimous <br /> IX, New Business There were no issues under "New Business." <br /> X. Committee Reports 10.1 Sub-Committee Reports <br /> 10.1.1. Negotiations - Mrs. Lynch said this will be discussed in executive <br /> session. <br /> 10.1.2 High School^MIs. Macdonald said there has been no meeting since <br /> the last School Committee meeting. <br /> 10.1.3 Elementa.r School- Mfrs. Lynch said there has been no meeting. <br /> 10.1.4 Curriculum. --- MIs. Macdonald said there has been no meeting. <br /> 10.2 External R <br /> 10.2.1 Casae Cod Collaborative--There has been no meeting. <br /> 10. .2 Leisure Sex-vices-- Mrs. Mills reported this meeting was cancelled, <br /> 10.2.3 Legislation -- No report this evening. <br /> 10.2.4 Safe Transportation Task_Force -- Mrs. Lynch said a meeting,has <br /> been scheduled for January 11 to discuss the upcoming bid. The <br /> meeting time was rescheduled to 6:30 p.m. on the 11th. <br /> 10.2.5 Personnel Committee —There was no report this evening. <br /> 10.2.6 Boosters Club - Mrs. Cook reported on acquining a handicapped- <br /> accessible•broadcast booth at• the high school football field. The <br /> Boosters have saved $10,000 and asked for support from the <br /> school department. Approximately $25,000 is needed to erect such <br /> a structure. The next Boosters meeting is slated forJanuary 131h <br /> at 7:00 p.m. <br />
