Landfill solar Facility <br /> sher's Path <br /> Renewable gable Energy Development Partner, LLC <br /> Thomas Melehan <br /> Thomas Melehan said he is here to answer any questions. He said the solar facility is about 1.83 <br /> megawatts facility; enough electricity to power about 300 hones. He said they had hurdles to go <br /> through Frith- Natural Heritage but he thinks they're-okay with that noir. He said they just have to file <br /> paperwork and they've been assured there will be no problem. <br /> Town gets benefit of cheaper poorer through a credit on its NStar bills. <br /> System has typical life.of over 30 years; Town has option to buy system after 10 years. <br /> Panels cone with long warranty. <br /> Mr. Melehan said what he submitted is their standard sola_�r facility design. <br /> 0 They keep 5 feet radius from any electrical equipment. <br /> Panels wired to get up on racking system. <br /> Radio control at facility for NStar and proposal with theca now. <br /> Going to DEP next Thursday, but don't see any issue. <br /> 3 inverters and one transformer with sw tches. <br /> Edge of c p not known so they will have,to hand-dig to locate things exactly in the Meld. <br /> Professional engineer will confirm what is done and that all in line with codes. on-site <br /> engineer of record will be there every day. <br /> NStar is driver of the schedule. <br /> Big site to have to fence whole area; they don't see the need for it; they will work with insurer. <br /> Mike Benton asked if top would get scraped down. Mr. Melehan said "no", they will just scrape <br /> top off and they will be maintaining the vegetation. He said they will use hand mower and <br /> geed whacker to maintain. <br /> Joel Clifford asked what percent of gas is coring from vents at this time. Mr. Melehan foresaw <br /> no problem since they will be 5 feet from the vents, Glen Harrington said quarterly gas <br /> measurements are done. <br /> Joel asked who would be responsible for safety response and work safety response. Mr. <br /> Melehan said that would be under site engineer. <br /> Joel noted that enact location of new meter pole not on plan and that information is needed. <br /> Mr. Melehan said they'll probably have to work together in the field re placement but they will <br /> put it wherever Town wants. <br /> Mr. Melehan said they are using Chinese panels because of cost factor. He said they are <br /> committing to prevailing wage on the project so engineers and others working on the project <br /> will be paid prevailing wage. <br /> Torn Fudala asked if there were any instances of fire. Mr. Melehan said ars likely possible as <br /> any NStar infrastructure. Not,crouch combustible material at transformers. <br /> Don't errant people wandering on site so they will definitely put signage there. <br /> No risk to anyone unless they try to disconnect wires. <br /> Parcels not reflective by design but in some you might get glare like off an office building but <br /> because of the angle you'd have to be on a 5-story building when sure setting to catch a glare. <br /> Construction vehicles to go in through main entrance and may be by compost area but that <br /> has to be worked out. <br /> 2 months to build. <br /> Glean asked whether they expect a.lot of run-off.
