Vinyl siding high school) <br /> Mr. McGon noted the school van will be purchased a <br /> soon as possible through the state contract. <br /> 7.4 FY2001 Budget Review - Mr. McCown explained the <br /> School Department's accounting system is currently "in- <br /> between systems" at this point and as a result, some of <br /> the output is "a little slow." <br /> Computer training for the new system was held last geek <br /> arra accounts payable and purchase order training will be <br /> held next creek. <br /> The FY01 budget reflects the changes made at the budget <br /> meeting held onJune 29th. <br /> Mr. McCown suggested making budget transfers on a <br /> monthly basis. <br /> The F oo end-of-year budget will be generated as soon as <br /> possible. <br /> Mrs. Lynch reminded Mr. Mc o rn that the School <br /> Committee begins to met monthly to discuss only the <br /> budget. Mr. Fluery said these dates will be set in <br /> conjunction with the "Master Calendar" at the August 8th <br /> School Committee retreat, <br /> 7.5 Name for Quashnet Schools - As a result of the <br /> elementary reorganization, informal discussion has been <br /> held to possibly change the name of the Quashnet School. <br /> Mr. Fluery recommended keeping the name of " u shnet <br /> School." Mr. Tippo acted the lengthy amount of time to <br /> change the Department of Education takes to change <br /> school's name as was the case when the Middle School <br /> changed to Quashnet River and Quashnet Malley. H <br /> recommended keeping the current name of " uashnet <br /> School." <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mrs. Lopez, to <br /> rename the Quashnet School. <br /> Discussion ion followed regarding holding a public forum to <br /> allow townspeople an opportunity to have an input for a <br /> name change. After this discussion, Mrs. Cook withdrew <br />
