MASH EE SCHOOL COMMITTEE <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> SEPTEMBER 13, 2000 <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: Chairperson Janice Mills, 'Theresa Cook, L nriaJean Lopez, Ben Caswell, and <br /> Kathleen Lynch. Also in attendance were Superintendent of Schools Sherwood Fluery and <br /> Business Administrator Russ McCown. <br /> I. Call Meeting Mrs. Mills called the regular meeting to order at 7:1 p.m. <br /> to Order in the Quashnet Library. <br /> II. Approval of 2.1. Regular Meetinp,-,August. 23, 2000- Motion made <br /> Minutes by Mrs. Lynch, seconded by Mrs. Cook, to approve <br /> the minutes of the August 23, 2000 regular meeting. <br /> Discussion followed on the wording ofthe surplus <br /> equipment in the industrial arts room at the Quashnet <br /> School. After discussion, it was noted this wording will be <br /> amended as suggested. <br /> VOTE: Unanim us <br /> 2.2 Executive Session - Au st 23, 2000 - Motion made by <br /> Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mr. Caswell, to approve the <br /> minutes of the executive session held on August 23, 2000. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> .II1. Public Forum 'There was no public input this evening. <br /> W. Acknowledgments Mrs. Mills acknowledged the recent passing of former <br /> Cape Cod 'Tech School Committee member Oscar W. <br /> Doane. She noted his accomplishments during his <br /> outstanding career. <br /> .1 Correspondence from Michael Horne to Lino dated <br /> September 2, 2000 - Athletic Director Mr. Horne thanked <br /> Dino for providing food for the after away game meals as <br /> well as financial donations and assistance in selling <br /> tickets. <br /> V. Communications here were n "Communications" this evening. <br /> VI. Student Advisory Council High School Student Advisory Council representative Ryle <br /> Hunt said the first day of- school went "smoothly," the <br /> rotating schedule is going "pretty well" and feels it will be <br /> beneficial to all; the lunches are currently overcrowded <br /> but everyone is fed. <br /> VII. Report of the 7.1 School_Opening Report- Nix-. Fluery asked each principal <br /> Superintendent to outline their individual first day of school opening. <br />
