MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE -- REGULAR TING - SEPTEMBER IBE1 13, 2000 PAGE 2 <br /> Coombs Principal Mrs. Doyle reported there ,were some <br /> bussing issues that are currently being worked on; she <br /> gave kudos to the volunteers and all staff for their <br /> assistance not only for the first day for grades one and two <br /> but also during the kindergarten opening. <br /> uashnt School Principal Mr. Tippo reported a clean <br /> building with employees working overtime to accomplish <br /> the many goals that needed to be done; thanks to parents <br /> and students for their continued cooperation during the <br /> opening; and kudos to new Assistant Principal Marianne <br /> Monacci for her help as well. <br /> High School Principal Mr. Brom said he's received <br /> positive feedback regarding the new rotating schedule; <br /> most ofhis needed staff has leen hired however, there i <br /> still an opening for a special education teacher and <br /> guidance director. The guidance director's position has <br /> been reported and re-advertised in "Education week." <br /> Also Mr. Brown noted the great job the custodians did in <br /> cleaning the building; the students are cleaning up the <br /> cafeteria after they eat; the Plato program has a few kinks <br /> that need to be addressed, however, the students are <br /> fascinated with its capability. He acknowledged Netw' rk <br /> Administrator Joe Augnblik for his assistance for getting <br /> the Plato program up and running. Also Mr. Brom <br /> thanked Michael Pietroki for his assistance for the <br /> production of the "Ira Brown Shove." Transportation is <br /> going well. <br /> Mrs. Lynch asked to have the principals report on the <br /> activities held the.professional days. Mr. Tippo said there <br /> was a meeting for special education - inclusion in the <br /> classroom and staff meetings were held at the Quashnet <br /> School; the Coombs School activities included discussion <br /> of the School Committee goals, staff meetings <br /> .2 Personnel - -Mr. Fluery updated the Committee on the <br /> following personnel issues: <br /> Appairy : <br /> Coombs School: <br /> Ann Marie Brait-Teaching Assistant <br /> Gail Bertsch-Teaching Assistant <br /> Emma Mills-Brennan - Music Teacher <br /> High School: <br /> Susan Curtis - .8 world Language Teacher <br /> issy Duffy- Full time Spanish Teacher <br /> Lon Dexter ter- Math Teacher <br /> Sheila Arnold- 7 English Language Arts <br />
