There were 12 total suspensions with 10 students serving suspensions. (Two students were previously suspended for another offense.) Discussion followed regarding a computer technician to assist the network administrator. Motion made by Mr. Caswell, seconded by Mrs. Cook, to create a computer technician position with an annual salary of$30,000. SpecificaUy Assigned/ 9.1 Memorial Garden (Update) - Mr. Brown said h Unfinished Business met with Mr. Cook. The plan has not leen completed, however, it would be in our best interest to go outside of our landscaper and have another designer come in. Mr. Brown suggested outsourcing the landscape drawing at this time. Costs are to be obtained. Mr. Fluery thanked the principals and directors for their first monthly report that was included in the packet. Also, he said September was a good month with reorganization and the movo ofthe superintendent"s office. Mrs. Lynch acknowledged correspondence received from the Department of Education regarding the awarding of funding for the development of Future Educators of America Club. Thanks to the efforts of Michael Fordc, this grant will receive $1,200.00 Mr. Fluery mentioned the Plato software program at the high school. Also, Mr. Fluery noted the Cape Symphony Orchestra Youth Concert is slated for March 8, 2001 at 10:00 p.m. in the Mashpec High School auditorium.
