MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE REGULAR ULA MEETING-FEBRUARY 28,2001 PAGE f <br /> 11.2.3 Safe Transportation Task Force—Mrs. Lynch said there has been no meeting <br /> since the last regular School Committee meeting, however, ne is scheduled <br /> for March 271''. <br /> 11.2.4 Affirmative Action Committee---Mrs. Lopez said there is a meeting slated for <br /> March I to discuss the schools' policy on hiring minorities. Mr. Fluery will <br /> attend this meeting. <br /> 11.2.5 Boosters Club—Mrs.Mills described a fundraiser to be held in August for the <br /> high school track team. More details to follow daring the coming months. <br /> Also,Mrs. Lynch suggested holding team banquets when all the seasons have <br /> been completed. <br /> 11.2.6 School Lunch Committee—Mrs. Cook mentioned the Snap Systems program <br /> which is currently used at the Nigh school and received the Committee's <br /> ti support in instituting at the elementary schools. <br /> 11.2.7 Indian Education — Mrs. Lopez said the wampanag Ball is scheduled for <br /> Saturday, March 2, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sons of Italy. Also, the tutoring <br /> program was a success in grades 1- . <br /> 11.2.8 Health Advisory Committee—Mrs. Lopez reported on a meeting held with the <br /> Governor's Task Force. Also, David Po l nett will discuss the use of tobacco <br /> at a meeting slated for March 121h from 6:00-8:00 p.m. <br /> XII. Other There were no issues discussed under"Other." <br /> XIII. Executive Session Motion made by Mrs. Lynch,seconded by Mr. Caswell,to move into executive session <br /> at 9:05 p.m.to discuss negotiations and personnel issues. <br /> Roll Call Vote: In favor—Mrs. Mills, Mrs. Cool, Mrs. Lopez, Mr. Caswell, and Mrs. <br /> Lynch; opposed—none. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Cool, seconded by Mr. Caswell, to increase the substitute van <br /> driver hourly rate to$11.32. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> XIV.
