Acknowledgments 5.1 Daniel Chapman— I A " Collection of portsrnans i _E Written.b <br /> Massachusetts Students" — High School sophomore Daniel Chapman submitted an <br /> essay that was published in the MIAA booklet, "Sportsmanship: A Game Plan For <br /> Life." <br /> 5.2 Grant Acknowledgment—Kim Palmer—Thanks to the efforts ofKira Palmer, <br /> the art teacher at the Coombs School, a Cape Cod Five Foundation Mini- rant was <br /> awarded in the amount of$400. <br /> 5.3 Mrs. Cook acknowledged Sheila Arnold and her efforts in publishing the High <br /> School's"Mashpee Ledger"newsletter. <br /> 5.4 Mrs. Mills acknowledged former Mashpee student Terry Topp who i <br /> currently the producer of the television program `Law&Order." <br /> 5.5 Mrs. Mills also mentioned that former Mashpee Public Schools/Falmouth <br /> High School student Willie Ford is a potential National Football League player. <br /> Vi. Communications 6.1 National School Boards Association (NSBA)Annual Conference—New <br /> Orleans, April 6-9, 2002 — Mrs. Cook mentioned this upcoming annual conference for <br /> school committees. Although a very informative and interesting conference, there was <br /> no interest at this time for registration. <br /> VII, Student Advisory Student Advisory Council representative Kyle Hunt was unable to attend tonight's <br /> Council meeting. <br /> Viii.
