New Business 10.1 Additional l sidenc F ecjuir ments—Mrs.Cook stated the school department <br /> will be "looking seriously" into any non-resident who attends Mashpee schools. <br /> listing has been developed with the assistance of the Town Clerk along with the <br /> principals noting questionable residences. Mr. Fluery stated an investigator will b <br /> visiting those homes in question and any student(s) found residing out of Ma tepee will <br /> be requested to leave the school system. <br /> Discussion followed regarding the Identification System and its future purchase and <br /> implementation. The elementary principals and their sub-committees agreed it is very <br /> difficult to keep control of the lLs with the younger students but there was strong <br /> support for staff,volunteers, and substitutes. <br /> Approximately $11,000 will be required to support the 1D system for Grades -12 <br /> students and staff and not to include K-6 students. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Caswell, seconded by Mrs. Reis, to approve $11,000 to support <br /> the ID system. <br /> VOTE: [Unanimous <br /> X1. Committee Deports l l.1 Sub-Committee Reports <br /> 11.1.1 Ne tiati n — Mr. Caswell said discussions have been held with Unit C and <br /> the Custodial/Maintenance union. Non-union employee discussions are <br /> forthcoming. <br /> 11.1.2 High School—Mr. Caswell said the need for additional coaches was discussed <br /> earlier in the meeting as well as the identification system. <br /> 1 1.1.3 Elementary School—As noted above,the identification issue was discussed. <br /> 11.1.4 Curriculum — Mrs. Parolski discussed the ongoing Computer Education and <br /> Science curriculum,meetings. <br /> 11.1.5 Finance Committee—Mrs. Cook noted this committee met on December 12'x'. <br /> regarding the F 03 budget,once again,she stressed the difference between <br /> "level funded"'and"level service." <br /> 11.2 External Reports <br /> its <br /> 11.2.1 Cape Cod Collaborative — Mrs. Reis stated this committee will meet on <br /> December 6`". <br /> 11.2.2 Leisure Services — Mr. Caswell said the movement ofthe Leisure Services <br /> Office currently located in the high school was discussed. Mrs. Cook <br /> suggested a meeting be scheduled including Mr. Fluery, Mr. Caswell and Mr. <br /> Thomas from the School Committee, Mr. Frederick and Mr. Marr from <br /> Leisure Service, and the Board of Selectmen liaison to discuss this topic once <br /> again. <br /> 11.2.3 Safe Transportation Task Force—Mr.Caswell said there has been no meeting. <br /> 11.2.4 Affirmative Action Committee — Mr. Fluery said a meeting, is slated for <br /> December ember 13 h <br /> .r <br />
