i <br /> MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE—REGULAR MEETING—AUGUST 5, 2002 PAGE <br /> Motion made by Mr. Caswell, seconded by Mrs. Lopez, to approve the <br /> 2002-2003 Coombs School Parent/Student Handbook as outlined. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 8.9 High- School Handbook 2002-200 — Assistant Principal for <br /> Student Services Lou Ann St. Cyr addressed the Committee regarding the <br /> changes/additions to the 2002.-2003 High School Handbook. <br /> After Mrs. St. Cyr's presentation, a motion was made by Mr. Caswell, <br /> seconded by Mr. Thomas,to approve the 2002-2003 High School Handbook <br /> as outlined. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 8.7 Cable AdvisoKy Committee Request — Melissa 1 1u h — Media <br /> Arts Director Melissa Murphy described to the Committee a proposal to be <br /> submitted to the Mashpee Cable Advisory Committee to obtain Funds to <br /> repair and maintain the cable access Channel 22 at 1lahpee High School. <br /> In her proposal,Ms. Murphy described the following requests: <br /> $ 3,000—Repair and maintenance of Synergy System. <br /> $10,00 0—Repair and maintenance of neral l TV station. <br /> $ 6,235—Purchase of digital camera,battery and tripod for non-linear <br /> editing system. <br /> 1,200—Annual cost to run the satellite dish <br /> 3,,677- Assist in implementing a back-up battery system which also <br /> includes a trip system <br /> $16,0 10—New character generator <br /> $ %0671 —Portable LCIS projector <br /> 7,425 —updated Quashnet School gymnasium sound system <br /> $579218—TOTAL <br /> After much discussion, Mrs. Mills suggested moving forward with the <br /> request for funding of the above-named requests. Mr. Caswell suggested <br /> Ms. Murphy prioritize the above listing which she agreed to do. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Thomas, seconded by Mr. Caswell, to support the <br /> above audio-visual requests. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> i <br /> Ms. Murphy addressed the need to employ an audio-visual assistant to help <br /> her out during the school year with the various school concerts, athletic <br /> events, etc. Ms. Murphy was asked to devise a job description for such a <br /> position. <br /> The regular agenda resumed at this point. <br /> .1 Personnel — Mrs. Parolsl i updated the Committee on the following <br /> personnel issues: <br />
