IASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE— REGULAR MEETING-=OCTOBER 8,, 2002 PAGE <br /> Motion made,by Mrs. Lopez, seconded by Mrs. Reis, to approve the budget <br /> transfers for#02-019 as listed totaling$89,338. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Potion made by Mrs. Lopez, seconded by Mr. Thomas, to approve the budget <br /> for F2 final payroll transfers listed in # 2-020 {see Exhibit totaling <br /> $6,540.09. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 8.3.2 F 03 High School Transfer — Mr. Tarlow explained the need to <br /> transfer $13,641.76 (#03-00 1 to cover the costs for leasing the replacement of <br /> two copy machines at the high school as well as the maintenance agreement. <br /> Neither r of these copy machines were in the original FY03 Mashpee High <br /> School Instructional budget. These funds will cover a negative balance added <br /> after the budget was set. <br /> Motion made by liar. Caswell, seconded by Mr. Thomas,to approve the transfer <br /> of$13,,641.76. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> . Enrollments Mrs. Parolsl i informed the Committee of the <br /> enrollments at each school. They were: Coombs School, 522; Quashnet <br /> School, 764; and l lashpee High School, 989. There are currently 40 l ashpee <br /> students attending Cape Cod Tech. <br /> 8.5 Out-of-School Suspensions — During the month of September, out-of- <br /> school suspensions were broken down by grade as follows: Grade 7, four; <br /> Grade 8, one; Grade 9, ; Grade 10, ; Grade 11, ; and Grade 12, 2. <br /> 8.6 MASC Annual Business Meeting Voting Delegate, ctober 30, 2002 --- <br /> Motion made by Mr. Caswell to nominate Mrs. Lopez to be the voting delegate <br /> at the annual Joint MASS IA C Business Meeting on October 30, 2002. Her <br /> motion was seconded by Mr. Thomas. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Ir. Thomas volunteered to be the alternate delegate. <br /> .7 Academic Support Grant { AS Tutor in — Mrs. Parolsli explained <br /> two grants — one, the "Academic Support Services — School Year Programs" <br /> totaling 16,562; the other, "Academic Support Services— Summer Programs" <br /> in the amount of $50,538 for a grand total of $67,100. These grants would <br /> assist with INCAS tutoring. liars. Parolsl i extending thanks to Ed Furtek and <br /> Robert liieli for their efforts in preparing these grants. <br /> 8.8 Civil Rights Team — Assistant Principal for Student Services Lou Ann <br /> St. Cyr addressed the Committee regarding placing the Civil Rights Team <br /> advisor's position in the 2002-2003 budget. She stated that last school year <br /> two high school faculty members volunteered to assist the Civil Fights Team <br /> E .. <br />
