MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE—REGULAR MEETING—OCTOBER 8., 2002 PAGE 11.1.2High School—Mrs. Hill said these topics were discussed earlier in the meeting. 11.1.3 Elementary ,School — Mr. Caswell discussed bus safety issues and potential set up for parent/teacher conferences. 11.1.4 Curriculum MCAS — Mrs. Parolski noted a parent interest letter was sent home asking for volunteers to participate in the health/physical education and music curriculum revisions. Also, Mrs. Parolski updated the Committee on the history of MCAS scores from 1998-2002. She informed the Committee of an MCAS parent meeting set for October 17, 2002 at 6:30 p.m. in the Quashnet School C fetori u m. 11.2 External,Reports 11.2.1 Cape Cod Collaborative — Mrs. Lopez attended a meeting held on October 3, 2002 11.2.2 Leisure Services — Mr. Thomas said there has been no meeting, however, he and Mrs. Parolski will set up a meeting with Mr. Frederick, Director of Le Y s ure Services. l 1.2.3 Safe Transportation Task Force - Mr. Caswell reported on a meeting held on October 30th regarding bus stops and schedules. The week of October 21" is Bus Safety Week. 11.2.4 Affirmative Action Committee — Mrs. Lopez said there has been no meeting lately, however,one is scheduled for October 22 Id. 11.2.5 Boosters Club — fir. Caswell thanked the high school press box supporters along with a commendation to Dwight Pfund Lein for his efforts. Also M r. Caswe11 reminded the Committee that Oktoberfest i scheduled for October 12-13,, 2002 at Mashpee Commons. Mr. Thomas also thanked Boosters Club supporters for their assistance on the press box. 11.2.6 Indian Education—Mr. Caswell said there has been no meeting. 11.2.7 Bealth Advisory Committee— XII. other There were no issues under"Other." XIII. Executive Session There was no need to hold a second executive session.
