Report of the 9,1 Personnel—Mrs. Parolsl i updated the Committee on the following <br /> Superintendent personnel issues: <br /> Quashnet Schook <br /> Damien n Po k.n tt—Custodian <br /> Resioations: <br /> Margaret Lynn—Structured Learning Center <br /> Leave Absence: <br /> Elizabeth Johnson—Family Medical Leave Act <br /> Karol M ill r—Family Medical Leave Act <br /> 9.2 Administrative Deports — Mrs. Parolsl i asked if the Committee had <br /> questions regarding the monthly administrative reports. Mr. Thomas <br /> questioned the lifting, cracked or missing tiles as reported by Mrs. Doyle at the <br /> Coombs School. Mrs. Doyle responded that they are currently being replaced <br /> and trying to beep up as the need arises. <br /> 9.3 Enrollments — Mrs. Parolsli noted the enrollments are stable. The <br /> Coombs School shows 528enrollments; Quashnet School, 753; Mashpee High <br /> School, 978. There are currently 45 1 la hpee students attending Cape Cod <br /> Tech. <br /> 9.4 Out-of-School Suspensions — This report reflected the following grade <br /> breakdown n of suspensions during the month of May: Grade 7, 20; Grade 8, ; <br /> Grade 9, 21; Grade 10, 10; Grade 11 11; and Grade 1 , 3. <br /> 9.5 High School House Model Pro osal — High School Principal Mr. <br /> Brown addressed the Committee regarding the establishment of a house system <br /> for grades -12. In his proposal,Mr. Brown advocates one House for grades 7 <br /> and ; a second House for grades 9 and 10; and a third House for grades 11 and <br /> 12. After giving his presentation, Mr. Brown requested School Committee <br /> approval for the following: <br /> • posting the positions ofHouse Master for Grades 7 and 8,Horse Master for <br /> grades 9 and 10, and House Mater for grades 11 and 1 <br /> • initiate the process of reorganizing the school into three houses. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cool, to approve the high <br /> school house model proposal. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 9.6 High.School Handbook Revision, 2003-2004 — Mr. Brown presented <br /> the revised 2003-2004 high school handbook revisions/corrections to this <br /> document. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cook,to approve the 2003-2004 <br /> high school handbook revisions as presented. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br />
