e � <br /> MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE—FINANCE MEETING—JUNE 26, 2003 PAGE 2 <br /> . 6.1 FY03 Budget Transfers Discussion — Mrs. Ferguson requested FY03 budget transfers (see <br /> Exhibit A)totaling$92,147.21. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Lopez,to approve the FY03 budget transfers as shown. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Mrs. Parolski said there is $90,000 in unexpended fund, however, discussion followed regarding using <br /> that money for the payment of special education tuition pre-payments. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Cook, seconded by Mrs. Mills,to approve $90,000 for the pre-payment of special <br /> education tuition. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 7. Marcia King — Grants — Marcia King addressed the Committee regarding the Homeland Security <br /> grant. She stressed there would be no new hires and the school department would work in conjunction <br /> with the police and fire departments on this grant. The three main areas of concern are: radiological, <br /> chemical/biological and terrorism. <br /> Mrs. King will obtain the necessary signatures for this grant and forward to the proper authorities. <br /> 8. Student Athletic Eligibility: Chemical Health/Alcohol/Drugs/Tobacco —Athletic Director Michael <br /> Horne outlined the proposed revisions to the current MIAA policy. This issue will be voted upon at the <br /> July regular meeting. <br /> • 9. Sub-Committee and External Committee Assignments — Due to time constraints at the regular June <br /> meeting, Mr. Thomas suggested completing the above assignments at this meeting. Committee <br /> members volunteered for the following committees for the 2003-2004 school year: <br /> Sub-Committees(2 members): <br /> Negotiations—Peter Thomas and Terrie Cook <br /> High School —Terrie Cook and Donna Lopez <br /> Elementary School—Peter Thomas and Mollie Reis <br /> Curriculum—Donna Lopez and Janice Mills <br /> External Committees(I member): <br /> Cape Cod Collaborative—Donna Lopez <br /> Leisure Services—Mollie Reis <br /> Safe Transportation Task Force—Peter Thomas <br /> Affirmative Action Committee—Terrie Cook <br /> Boosters Club—Mollie Reis <br /> Indian Education—Donna Lopez <br /> Health Advisory Committee—Donna Lopez <br /> 10. Other — In the May food service report, Mrs. Cook noted a profit of $20,501.40 before inventory <br /> charges. Mrs. Ferguson commended Food Service Director Bob Scott and Food Service Administrative <br /> Assistant Maureen Paxton for their efforts. <br /> Also, Mrs. Parolski thanked Mr. Scott for the new cafeteria tables at the Coombs School and Quashnet <br /> 0 School. <br />
