MASIFTPBB PUBLIC SCHOOLS REGULAR MEETING II MARCH 3,, 2004 Minutes Attendees: Chairman Peter Thomas, Theresa Cook, I onnaJ an Lopez, and Mollie Reis. Janice Mills was absent this evening. Also in attendance were Superintendent of Schools Patricia Parolsl i and Business Office Supervisor Ellen Ferguson. I. Call Meeting Mr. Thomas called the regular meeting to order at 6:3 1 p.m. in the Mash pee to Order High School Library. II. Executive Session Motion made by Mrs. Lopez, seconded by Mrs. Reis,to move into executive session at 6:32 p.m.for the purpose of personnel and negotiations. Roll Call Vote: In favor — Mr. Thomas, Mrs. Cool, Mrs. Lopez, and Mrs. Reis; opposed—none. The regular meeting reconvened at 7:11 p.m. Ir. Thomas read aloud a statement regarding ars article in the February 27, 2004 edition of the Mashpee Ent rpri regarding itemized proposed cuts in the school department's FY05 budget. He stressed that list was one of several that have been proposed by the adm ire i strati e team and not one set i n stone. Mr. Thomas said meetings are currently ongoing between school officials and the Town Administrator, the Board ofSelectmen, the Finance Committee and Teacher Association"to create a budget that will allow the Town of Mashpee t continue to provide a high quality education to its children." VOTE: Unanimous .2 First Executive Session -- February 4, 2004 — Motion rade by Mrs. Reis, seconded by Mrs. Cool , to approve the first executive session held on February 4,2004. VOTE: Unanimous 3.3 Second Executive Session — February 4, 2004 —Motion made by Mrs. Lopez, seconded by Mrs. Cool, to approve the second executive session held on February 4, 2004.
