Specifically Assigned/ 9.1 2004-2005 School Calendar--Mrs. par lski explained that due to the <br /> Unfinished Business Presidential election to be held on Tuesday,November 2, 2004,that clay will be <br /> a professional day to accommodate the town"s registered voters and any <br /> parking issues at the Quashnet School. This has been previous practice during <br /> a Presidential election. <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Lopez, seconded by Mrs. Deis,to approve the 2004-2005 <br /> school calendar. <br /> VOTE: Unanim u <br /> .2 E.-Mailing Notices,etc. —Scan Moroney—Network rl Administrator Scan <br /> Moroney suggested placing any school announcements, daily notices, etc. on <br /> the Ma tepee Schools' web site in lieu of obtaining residential e-mail addresses. <br /> The Committee concurred. <br /> 9. School Committee Policy — Sections -F — Motion made by Mrs. <br /> Lopez, seconded by Mrs. Reis,to accept Sections E-F of the School Committee <br /> Policy Manual. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> X. New Business 10.1 School Com m ittee Po I icy review—Section G—This section will b <br /> revised acrd voted upon at the M ay regular School C o rr mittee meeting. <br /> 10.2 Aril Finance School Committee Meeting—Due to the regular finance <br /> meeting falling during school vacation week, a suggestion was made to hold the <br /> meeting on Wednesday,April 2 ,2004. Time to be determined after a School <br /> Committee poll. <br /> X1. Committee Reports 11.1 Sub-Committee Rorfs <br /> 11.1.1 Negotiations — Mrs. Cook the non-union contracts are being reviewed <br /> and a meeting will be set with Mrs.Par lski for discussion. <br /> 11.1.2 High School — Items for the high school were discussed earlier in the <br /> meeting. <br /> 11.1.3 Elementary School — Mrs. Reis reported that at their- last meeting, the <br /> epi-pen and CPR issues were discussed, i.e., how manor staff members <br /> are CPR-certified and asked for an opinion from the doctors is it <br /> necessary for a person administering the epi-pen to have a certification <br /> for CPR. <br /> 11.1.4 Curriculum/MCAS — Mrs. Parolski said curriculum revisions are <br /> ongoing. The Long Composition for Grades 4, 7 and 10 and leading <br /> for Grade 3 have taken place. flake-up data for the Long Composition <br /> in Grades 4, 7, and 10 is May 13,2004. <br /> A "report card"' on the Ma hpee Public Schools is forthcoming to <br /> parents on April 15'b. <br />
