1 ASHP E SCHOOL COMMITTEE—REGULAR AND FINANCE MEETING AUGUST 4, 2004 PAGE <br /> 8.5.1 FY05 Budget Transfers—The following FY05 budget transfers <br /> were made: <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Lopez, to approve <br /> budget transfer#05-01-23 in the amount of$25,350.00. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Lopez, to approve <br /> budget transfer#05-01-80 in the amount of$11,500.00. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> .6 Thanksgiving Football — Athletic Director Michael Horne <br /> addressed the Committee regarding the latest developments in the <br /> Thanksgiving Football game this year. He reiterated the current <br /> situation where Mashpee informed Sandwich they would be <br /> withdrawing their participation in the annual Thanksgiving Football <br /> game effective next year. Mr. Horne contacted Cape Cod Tech for <br /> arranging Thanksgiving games beginning in 2005. High School <br /> Principal Ira Brown received correspondence from the Sandwich High <br /> School Athletic Department recently stating that Sandwich had <br /> accepted an offer to play Bishop Connolly High School on <br /> Thanksgiving Day 2004. As a result Mashpee would be without a <br /> competitor, however, through his efforts, Mr. Horne was contacted by <br /> Holbrook school officials who found themselves in a similar situation <br /> for this year. Mr. Horne announced that Mashpee High School will <br /> compete with Holbrook High School for the Thanksgiving Day game <br /> . 2004. <br /> Mrs. Cook asked to move up 1 .I, "Film Festival' on the agenda. <br /> Media Arts Diret r Melissa Murphy informed the Committee that in <br /> lieu f the "'Haunted Mouse" this year, the TV Production Club would <br /> like to propose a "Film Festival" to be held at 1lashpee High School. <br /> The theme of the festival will be based on Oscar-like traditions. Brian <br /> Way, one of the students in charge ofthis evert, described the festival <br /> also. <br /> The Committee endorsed the idea of the"Film Festival." <br /> There was a recess at 7:35 p.m. <br /> The meeting reconvened at 7:40 p. . <br /> Ix.
