MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE REGULAR METING OCTOBER 6, 2004 Minutes Attendees: Chairman Theresa Cook, Janice Mills, and Peter Thomas. DonnaJean Lopez and Mollie leis were absent this evening. Also in attendance were Superintendent of Schools Patricia Parolskl and Business Office Supervisor Ellen Ferguson. Call Meeting Mrs. Cook called the regular meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Quashnet to Order School Library. H. Executive Session Motion Made by Mr. Thomas, seconded by Mrs.Mills,to move into executive session at 6:31 p.m. for the purpose of negotiations and personnel. Roll Call Vote: In favor — Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Mills, and Mr. Thomas; opposed—none. IIS. Approval of Minutes 3.1 Regular Meeting—September 1 2004—Motion made by Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cook, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on September 1,2004. VOTE: Unanimous IV. Public Forum High School tackier Brian Hyde said that high school volunteer track coach Paul Phinney passed away last week and them will be a memorial service on Saturday, October 23, 2004 at the rational Cemetery in Bourne, IIIA. Following that there will be a reception at the high school in his honor. Ties for the above were unknown at meeting time. Becky Roinkey — Mrs. I omkey is a representative of the PTO and questioned the recent MCAS AS results and what effect did outdated textbooks have on these results. She asked what would be required to improve these test scores?
