k <br /> MASHPEE SCHOOL COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING—OCTOBER 6,, 2004 PACE 2 <br /> Mrs. Parolsl i said there was a sparsely-attended MCAS parent meeting held <br /> on October where these results were discussed. Also she said during <br /> tonight's meeting, the Math and English/Language Arts Coordinators will <br /> brief the Committee on these results. <br /> Todd Franks—Mr. Franks asked the Committee if the Art History volunteer <br /> training time in the Coombs School could be changed to accommodate his <br /> wife's schedule. He asked if another night other than Thursday would be a <br /> possibility. Mrs. Doyle suggested he contact Volunteer Coordinator <br /> Maureen Paxton and/or Assistant Volunteer Coordinator Parn St011e to wort <br /> out a mutually convenient schedule. Mrs. Parolski will also contact Mrs. <br /> of scott and Mrs. Stone regarding this issue, <br /> Mrs. Cook introduced Kien Crosby as the newly-elected Student Advisory <br /> Council representative to the School Committee for the 2004-2005 school <br /> year. <br /> Mrs. Cooly asked to have the following agenda topics moved up due to <br /> audience participation: <br /> 10.3 Dance Team—Mr. Brown introduced Tia Johnson, T.C. Woods and <br /> Melissa Costa who addressed the Committee regarding the formation of a <br /> high school dance team. The students asked if the Committee would <br /> sponsor an adisorship so the team can participate after school and perform <br /> at athletic events and assemblies. <br /> After the students' presentation, a notion was made by Mrs. Mills, <br /> seconded by Nor. Thomas,to accept the request of the dance team. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> 10.2 FBLi Annual TripIw York City — on behalf of the Future <br /> .Business Leaders of America, Carol Riley addressed the Committee <br /> regarding this annual field trip to New 'fork,City. Jessica Duchame and <br /> Lisa Marie Felly accompanied Mrs. Riley and spore in favor of the trip. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Thomas, seconded by Mrs. Mills, to approve the <br /> F'BLA.annual trip to New York City. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous <br /> Mrs. Cooly stated this trip is no cost to Ma hp e Public Schools. Mrs. Riley <br /> said money is raised through fundraising efforts. <br /> .7 Out-of-State Travel — Grade 5 to Pequot Museum um — Led ar , CT— <br /> Thi , too, is an annual field trip.
